Chico Planning Commissioner Violates Brown Act, Tries to Derail Walmart

Jon Luvaas (shown above) is a liberal planning commissioner for the City of Chico. If the name sounds familiar to you, he’s famous for his comments about 80yr olds not being worth saving if it meant causing a noise nuisance with the hospital helicopters. His philosophy actually bears a strong resemblance to Obama’s current health plan, maybe we should call it the Luvaasian health model for senior citizens!

Luvaas made front page news again in the Chico Enterprise record today. Read Here: http://www.chicoer.com/news/ci_12943058?source=rv

A Brown Act violation is no small matter. Luvaas was appointed by liberal city council members and we should hold them accountable for it in the next election!

What’s more, he did this in an attempt to sabotage the expansion of the local Walmart. Now I don’t know about you, but shouldn’t our public officials be doing EVERYTHING THEY CAN to promote business and job creation in this economic recession? It’s not like we’ve got any new jobs to show for the Obama Stimulus plans, so when are they going to cut business a break?

You ask me, the liberals are trying to torpedo our economy so they can put us all in a socialist soup line.

Liberals like this want to punish businesses, any business even if it creates jobs. It’s sincerely insanity. They want more centralized government power, as if government is somehow going to do right by the people. History has shown us that more government is always bad. We need truly limited government. It’s too bad the Republicans in the 8 years with Bush accepted the notion that big government is okay when a Republican is in office. I’m supporting real limited government conservatives now, like Pat Buchanan and Ron Paul.

If the GOP actually stood for anything besides their rhetoric, we would not have guys like Luvaas on the planning commission.

I’m a Ron Paul Republican supporting the ideals of limited government, individual liberty and a humble foreign policy.

I don’t know how this guy gets by with all this. Where are the checks and balances? Is he not being called on this at all? How long will we let this kind of thing go on?
