Obama gets weed whacked

August 29, 2009

Kudos to farmer Sam Bates, who is excercising his constituitional first amendment right. This story comes to us courtesy of KCBD-TV, a television station not yet a victim of the “fairness doctrine” in Lubbock, Texas.

An unusual sign of protest has sprung up in Lubbock County, but you’ll have to take to the sky to see it. Once a year, Sam Bates plows over the weeds in a playa lake on his property, but this year, he left a little something behind. “I just had some free time,” Bates said.

“This is a sign of frustration,” Bates said. He tells NewsChannel 11 the reason behind the message is what’s going on in Washington.

Farmer Bates sets a great example for anyone willing to use free speech rights to resist what’s being done to our country. Be creative, get the message out any way you can.

Obama’s approval rating sinks to new low

August 24, 2009

If ObamaCo was a stock, traders would be yelling SELL!

Maybe it’s the record unemployment, or his record spending, or his failed planning, or the climbing misery index, or his failed policies, or his record deficit, or his constant apologizing, or his trashing the cops, or his radical plans to takeover the health care industry…
Whatever the reason Dear Leader’s popularity has tanked. The radical leftist has seen his presidential index number drop an amazing 44 points since he took office!

Conservatives Now Outnumber Liberals in All 50 States, Says Gallup Poll
Monday, August 17, 2009
By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief

(CNSNews.com) – Self-identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals in all 50 states of the union, according to the Gallup Poll.

At the same time, more Americans nationwide are saying this year that they are conservative than have made that claim in any of the last four years.

In 2009, 40% percent of respondents in Gallup surveys that have interviewed more than 160,000 Americans have said that they are either “conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). That is the highest percentage in any year since 2004.

Only 21% have told Gallup they are liberal, including 16% who say they are “liberal” and 5% who say they are “very liberal.”

Thirty-five percent of Americans say they are moderate.

During Republican President George W. Bush’s second term, the number of self-identified conservatives as measured by Gallup dropped, riding at a low of 37% as recently as last year.
